Keeping this service up and providing these facilities at a decent speed in
the next months requires hiring a powerful
dedicated server (Intel Xeon E5 with 12 processors / 24 cores, 64 GB of memory
and RAID-1 SSDs) and a huge internet bandwidth, what together with the required
licenses, hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates and VAT cost me US $5,140 per year, what is certainly more
than I can personally afford. If you wonder why a so expensive server is
required, here you have a few data from 2019 or you can look at
usage statistics of the past 24 hours:
Total number of queries to the database: 3,356,578,451
Total traffic: 16.64 TB (Terabytes)
Total number of propagation alerts E-Mails sent:

Pages served per second: Up to 45 pages/second during the summer months.
Database queries per second: Up to 160 queries/second.
Data transfer per second: Up to 13.18 Megabytes/second
Maximum number of propagation alerts E-Mails per day: 17,426
If you really like DXMAPS.COM and want it to continue being available in the
next months I would appreciate some kind of donation.
Any donation, even as little as US $12 or 10€, will help, but please also consider
becoming an official "supporter user" for as little as US $24

When you donate at least US $24 or 20€(net amount received
by DXMAPS) you will get the status of DXMAPS.COM "supporter
user" and in return you will get the following privileges for a
period of one year:
Your callsign will appear highlighted on a yellow background on the maps
Your callsign will have priority and will be shown on the maps on top of
other stations in your own grid square. If there are other supporter users
in your square then the priority will be shared and the report shown will be
the latest at the time the map is generated.
No advertising will be shown to you.
Up to 50 queries per day to the DX database
Unlimited number of queries to the Callbook and locator database
Unlimited number of E-Mails with propagation alerts
Unlimited number of DX spots sent
Unlimited number of queries to the HF and VHF calendar
Unlimited use of the DX Atlas and the EME calculator
Furthermore, you will be making possible the implementation of new
features in the future.
